Remedies set to overcome barriers

Update: 04-08-2023 | 14:27:29

Assessing the drawbacks of the current international business environment, industry and trade leaders made a profound conclusion of remaining complications and uncertainties. Despite the fact that the province's business and investment environment has greatly progressed, the attractiveness to large investors with modern production technology is still not as expected. The productivity and quality of agricultural production are still low and uneven due to the small scale of production. The deployment of hi-tech industrial parks is slow and does not gain much in number. The supporting industry is still developing slowly in the face of no preferential policies for enterprises investing in the field. Although the service industry has changed rapidly, its proportion in the economic structure is still low, not commensurate with the potentials of the province.

The risk of exported goods having to deal with anti-dumping, anti-subsidy, international trade disputes from export markets is increasing. Meanwhile, the coordination of appeals between State agencies and businesses and industry associations has not been synchronized and lacks professionalism.

Faced with existing difficulties, the Department of Industry and Trade proposed to the Inter-sectoral Steering Committee for international economic integration and the Ministry of Industry and Trade to regularly organize periodic training and retraining for staff in localities, especially, the updating of new and specialized information in the field of integration so that the propaganda and dissemination of international economic integration in the locality is quality and effective. The Inter-sectoral Steering Committee for International Economic Integration regularly has in-depth assessment reports in many forms of magazines, propaganda publications and relevant legal documents for the provincial departments and the local industry to know and implement.

General Secretary of Vietnam Office regularly organizes professional training classes, seminars and conferences to propagate and disseminate information related to specific and key export products of each region. The Ministries of Planning and Investment, Industry and Trade, Foreign Affairs, Culture, Sports and Tourism should continue to support localities in advertising and promoting investment, trade and tourism.
