Requiem for heroic martyrs held

On the afternoon of July 26, provincial Youth Union and Youth Federation cooperated with the Executive Board of provincial Buddhist Shangha to hold a requiem to commemorate heroic martyrs on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of War Invalids-Martyrs ‘Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2022).

The event was attended by Nguyen Van Loc, member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of provincial Party Committee’s Mass Mobilization Commission, Chairman of provincial Fatherland Front Committee; representatives of departments and sectors together with monks, nuns and Youth Union members.

The requiem showed the tradition of "when drinking water, remember its source" of the Vietnamese people, thereby contributing to educating the revolutionary tradition, patriotism, national pride, gratitude to the heroic martyrs who laid down their lives for national independence and the responsibility of the youth in the cause of national construction and defense.

At the ceremony, delegates offered incense to commemorate and pay tribute to heroic martyrs who sacrificed their lives for national independence and freedom. After the ritual of offering incense from delegates, the Executive Board of provincial Buddhist Sangha held a ceremony to pray for the souls of the heroes and martyrs to be reborn in the pure land and for the nation  to be peaceful, for the people to live in peace and happiness.
