Residents in Bac Tan Uyen district donate 15,560m2 for the construction of a new rural area in 2023

Implemented the National Target Program on building new rural areas, improving new rural areas, and creating model new rural areas, from district to commune level, the district of Bac Tan Uyen has mobilized the collective efforts of the people through competitive movements and campaigns.

The People's Fronts at all levels of the district have coordinated efforts to mobilize residents and businesses to contribute, along with the local authorities, to the upgrading, concreting, and repair of 25 roads with a total length of 9,358 meters, with a total budget of over VND 7.8 billion. In addition, the residents and businesses have donated 15,560 square meters of land, 200 rubber trees, 126 cubic meters of stone, and other materials worth nearly 15 billion Vietnamese dong to support the construction of the new rural areas in collaboration with the State. The district's fronts have coordinated efforts to install solar-powered street lights on 19 roads, with a total of 245 solar lamps worth nearly VND 400 million.

As of now, Bac Tan Uyen district has 7 out of 8 communes recognized as meeting the criteria for advanced new rural areas, 1 commune is in the process of completing the dossier to request recognition for meeting the criteria for advanced new rural areas, and 1 commune is in the process of completing the dossier to request recognition as a model new rural area. Additionally, both towns are in the process of completing the registration dossier to achieve the criteria for civilized urban areas.
