The initial result of the mobilization of “All people unite to build a cultural life in residential areas” in Thuan An district upheld democracy and interdependence and maintenance of State laws. During 15 years of implementation of the mobilization, many encouraging results have been reached.

 

Through contest of green-clean-beautiful hamlets, many beautiful welcome gates have emerged in Thuan An district.

Implementing the mobilization, most of mass bodies have built models of capital assistance for members. The local Women’s Society has set up a “fund for poor women” whilst local farmers’ society has established a sponsor fund for farmers and so on, helping nearly 172,000 members enjoy loans worth VND227.6bil to develop production and business.

Besides, mass bodies have introduced jobs, helping minimize unemployment as well as guided members to apply advanced techniques into animal husbandry and farming. By different assistances, local people’s life has been gradually improved and developed. The entire district has spared no efforts to decline over 1,000 poor households in the end of 2010.

Together with economic development, the movements of gratitude repayment, interdependence have become a good tradition in the community. Accordingly, local all level agencies have built and repaired and granted 586 gratitude houses worth over VND12.492bil, mobilized to grant 842 hi-unity houses worth over VND8.394bil to the poor.

With efforts of poverty reduction, the locality in 2005 was awarded a merit certificate for its success in eliminating dilapidated houses for poor households.

Aside from the done achievements from the above movements, 4 remaining contents of the mobilization have showed remarkable results. They include movements of democratic promotion and maintenance of State laws.

Assessing the efficiency of the mobilization in over years, Nguyen Tan Dung, vice chairman of the district Fatherland Front Committee, said “the mobilization has really gone into officials, party members and people’s awareness. The result of the mobilization has showed on all areas of politics, economy, culture, security. Through the mobilization, democracy has been excelled, role of self-control of community has been also upheld whilst national great unity bloc has been reinforced and extended. In addition, the mobilization has promoted a rapid transfer of economy, contributing to boost up local urbanization process”.
