Revenue from environmental protection tax reaches nearly 64% of the estimate

Over the first 6 years of 2022, businesses in the province observed closely the tax law, made a full declaration and payment of environmental protection tax.

Accordingly, the environmental protection tax collection continued to grow. During the past six months, the whole province is estimated to collect VND 1,214 billion, reaching 63.9% of the annual estimate assigned by the Ministry of Finance, equal to 122.3% over the same period in 2021. According to the Provincial Tax Department, this revenue is quite good, because the Covid-19 has been restrained, the consumption of gasoline has increased. The increased revenue from environmental protection tax contributes to stabilizing domestic tax revenues, helps to reduce the financial burden for the State in environmental management and protection.
