Russian National Academic art troupe performs in Binh Duong

Evening November 16th, art show “Russian Cultural Days in Vietnam” 2013 takes place at Binh Duong province Culture – Movies Center. The show is performed by Russian National Academic art troupe including Timophei Docshizer brass quintet group, M.E.Pyanitski National Academic Folk choir and famous Chamber artists.  M.E.Pyanitski National Academic Folk choir Timophei Docshizer brass quintet groupThe group was born in 2009 as five Russian, Belarusian and Kazakh students of Russian Music Academy named Gnesiny deciding to play music together in a band. Right from the first year, the group won Grand Prix award in a competition in St. Petersburg, followed by many awards of prestige international contests and the first national music contest at Moscow.Timophei Dokshizer, who is an excellent trumpet artist, was chosen to be the name of this brass quintet group usually performing jazz, classical music pieces of current famous composers. Artists coming to Vietnam to perform are: Rim Kutluchurin - trumpet , Maxim Shtoda - trumpet , Vladimir Mezentsev - horn , Ramil Akhmadulin - trombone , Maxim Makushev - Tuba .M.E.Pyatnitski Russian National Academic Folk choirThe choir was founded about one hundred years ago, in 1911, by a Voronezh-born knowledgeable man named Mitrophan Pyatnitski, who was interested in collecting folk songs. Because of their talent and sincerity in performance, the choir has wowed audiences of many Russian regions. In 1938, the choir was divided into 2 groups: orchestra and dancing. The founder and choreographer of the dance group in the last 60 years is People’s artist Tatiana Ustinava. The founder of the orchestra is People’s artist Vasily Khavatov.During the great Patriotic war, Pyatnitski choir usually catered for the front. The song “My fog masses” composed by Vladimir Zakharov based on a poem of Mikhail Ixacovxky, became the traditional song of guerrilla movement. On the Victory Day against Nazis anniversary September 1945, the choir was one of few chosen art groups performing at the Red square.The art troupe has toured over 40 countries and is performing successfully in foreign countries.From 1962, the choir was led by famous composer People’s artist Valentin Levasov.
