Scholarships and mid-Autumn festival gifts donated to over 1,000 disadvantaged students

On the afternoon of September 12, provincial Council for the "Children's Protection Fund" held the 23rd Mid-Autumn Festival and scholarships awarding event for students overcoming difficulties and children with difficult circumstances at provincial Convention  and Exhibition Center.

Provincial leaders and sponsors provide long-term support for children orphaned due to the Covid-19 pandemic

The event was attended by Nguyen Van Loi, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of provincial Party Committee and Head of provincial National Assembly Deputy Delegation; Nguyen Van Loc, Member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Chairman of provincial People’s Council; Nguyen Loc Ha, Member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of provincial People’s Committee and Chairman of provincial Council for the "Children's Protection Fund"; Nguyen Van Danh, Chairman of provincial Fatherland Front Committee, Vice Chairman of provincial People’s Committee, along with other members of provincial Party Standing Committee, representatives of departments, agencies, localities, and more than 1,000 students and children with difficult circumstances across the province.

During the program, provincial Council for the "Children's Protection Fund" supported over VND 2.6 billion for 1,080 students and children with difficult circumstances. This included long-term support for 52 children orphaned due to the Covid-19 pandemic with VND 255 million; 372 "Back to School 2024" scholarships worth VND372 million for students with good and excellent academic achievements; 258 scholarships and mid-Autumn gifts for high and secondary-school students, and 52 scholarships for university students, amounting to VND 896 million in total; 46 bicycles and 22 computers for children with difficult circumstances in the province.

On this occasion, in the spirit of "mutual support", many businesses and donors contributed VND 4.2 billion to provincial "Children's Protection Fund" in order to take care of disadvantaged children in the province.
