Schools ‘raise’ over 3.300 piggy banks

Implementing the development work of Red Cross soceity in schools, 100% of schools have so far set up Red Cross societies with more than 36,500 members. The societies’ activities have always won great response from the school directorates.

Over the past years, Red Cross societies at schools have held many movements and models of raising piggy banks for building charity houses for poor pupils, helping poor children and teachers and so on with the total value of over VND11.6bil that helped over 102,000 people.

Of these, the model of piggy bank has reached high results and been extending across province. 208 local schools now ‘raise’ over 3,300 piggy banks, helping poor pupils pursue their study.
