Scientific seminar "Thu Dau Mot Province - 120 years"

 On December 17th, Thu Dau Mot University in collaboration with Southern Institute of Social Sciences and Provincial Historical Science Association held a seminar: "Thu Dau Mot Province - 120 years". Attending the workshop were nearly 200 scientists, researchers, lecturers of universities and institutes in the country. This was an activity to celebrate the 120th anniversary of Thu Dau Mot province, the precursor of Binh Duong province today.

The participants made presentations on economic and social characteristics of the French-colonial Thu Dau Mot province; the history and significance of geographic name Thu Dau Mot; culture and people of Binh An - Thu Dau Mot - Binh Duong; potential and status of economic development, urban development, urban social life and smart city. 

At the seminar, seven noteworthy presentations were selected by the organizers for future reference. Ass. Dr. Nguyen Van Hiep, Chairman of Thu Dau Mot University's Council, said that content of the seminar would be published into books for widespread domestic and international release.
