Scientific workshop on performance and governance indicators held

On the morning of July 31, the Provincial People's Committee cooperated with Ho Chi Minh National Political Academy to organize a Scientific Workshop on the Governance and Public Administration Performance Index in 2018. Mr. Dang Minh Hung, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Quoc Ly, Deputy Director of Ho Chi Minh National Political Academy chaired the workshop (photo).

In 2018, Binh Duong Province paid special attention to the Governance and Public Administration Performance Index (PAPI), thereby contributing to raising the scale to 43.5 points, ranking 39th in the whole country, increasing by 23 grades. with 2017. In 8 PAPI indicators in 2018, Binh Duong has high indicators such as controlling corruption in the public sector, public administrative procedures and public service provision. Other indicators are low, such as accountability to the people, transparency, and participation of grassroots people, e-governance, and environmental management.

At the workshop, participants stated the situation and solutions of Binh Duong in the coming time to further improve the PAPI Index. In particular, it is necessary to continue to improve the roles and responsibilities of the authorities at all levels, especially at the grassroots level in dealing with people's pressing issues related to environmental issues and handling administrative procedures to improve the quality of public administrative services such as health, education and technical infrastructure to improve the quality of life of people.
