Secretary of provincial Party Committee, Nguyen Van Loi asks TDM city to take the lead in various fields

Yesterday afternoon of February 19, Mr. Nguyen Van Loi, Member of the Central Committee of the Party, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the National Assembly Delegation of the province, along with the provincial working delegation, held a working session with the Standing Committee of the Thu Dau Mot (TDM) city Party Committee regarding the implementation status of economic and social development tasks, as well as national defense and security in the city during February and the first two months of the year; Preparations for organizing the 13th Congress of the Party Committee of Thu Dau Mot City for the term 2025-2030; directing the arrangement of the organizational apparatus according to Resolution No. 18-NQ/TW of the Central Executive Committee of the 12th Party Congress and several other important contents.

Efforts made from the beginning

Reporting to the working delegation of the Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Mrs. Nguyễn Thu Cúc, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee and Chairwoman of the People's Committee of Thủ Dầu Một City, stated that in the first two months of the year, the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee has led and directed the City People's Committee to focus on managing tasks related to socio-economic development, with a focus on organizing activities to celebrate the Lunar New Year of the Snake 2025; the preparation for organizing the City Party Congress for the term 2025-2030; and the commemoration of the 95th Anniversary of the Founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam (February 3, 1930 - February 3, 2025); deploying the task of rearranging the specialized agencies of the city according to the directive of the Central Government and the Provincial Party Committee; at the same time, ensure adequate policies and benefits for the beneficiaries during the Lunar New Year, as well as monitor the situation and support workers and employees staying in the city to celebrate the lunar New Year.

The city has decorated the streets, organized recreational and entertainment activities, and provided communication information to serve the people during the Tet holiday, focusing on innovating cultural and artistic activities; Launching movements and activities for the festival of the 15th day of the first lunar month aims to promote the spirit of volunteerism among the people of Thu City and has attracted a large number of residents to participate and respond, creating a strong impression on tourists from near and far about a friendly and compassionate city. Activities related to inspecting and handling violations in urban order, traffic safety, public security, environmental protection, advertising, classified ads, and food safety are always given priority, which has helped to enhance the public's awareness of legal compliance.

Concurrently, the city has vigorously and synchronously implemented the tasks for 2025, especially the Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW, dated December 22, 2024, of the Politburo on breakthroughs in the development of science and technology, innovation, and national digital transformation; Resolution No. 123-KL/TW, dated January 24, 2025, of the Central Executive Committee on the Proposal for the Supplemental Development of the Socio-Economic Plan for 2025 with a target growth of 8% or more. The city has intensified its direction to ensure a balance of budget revenue and expenditure for the year 2025 to accomplish all tasks and targets. Specifically, the total State budget revenue in February reached over 600 billion VND, with a cumulative total of over 1,733 billion VND in two months.

On the afternoon of February 19, Mr. Nguyen Van Loi, a member of the Central Committee of the Party, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, and head of the delegation of the National Assembly of the province, along with the working delegation of the province, visited and presented gifts to the staff and doctors of Thu Dau Mot city Health Center in celebration of the 70th anniversary of Vietnamese Physicians' Day. TạiDuring the visit, on behalf of the provincial leadership, Mr. Nguyen Van Loi sincerely expressed gratitude to the team of staff and doctors who have made great efforts to overcome many difficulties and challenges, successfully fulfilling their assigned tasks and contributing to the healthcare work for the people. The Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee hopes that in the coming time, the team of officials and doctors will continue to promote the spirit of "a healer like a mother," making efforts to overcome difficulties, study, and cultivate their professional skills and medical ethics to better serve and care for the people's health. The Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee suggested that the center carry out a health survey of the entire city population to have plans for prevention, management, and treatment for the people.

Regarding the direction and arrangement of the organizational apparatus according to Resolution No. 18-NQ/TW of the Central Committee of the 12th Party Congress, Mrs. Nguyen Thu Cuc stated that the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee always identifies the arrangement of the organizational apparatus of specialized agencies in the city to streamline and reduce the number of specialized agencies, in line with the arrangement of the organizational apparatus at the Central level and the Provincial Party Committee, ensuring consistency, unity, and interconnection in state management across sectors from the Central to local levels. At the same time, the city is arranging to reduce the number of staff, restructure, and improve the quality of the civil servants and public employees, ensuring a reasonable quantity and structure, with qualities and abilities that meet the requirements and tasks of each agency, organization, and unit in the new era. Therefore, the merger and establishment of specialized agencies in the city are necessary and aligned with the direction of the Central Government, the Provincial Party Committee, and the actual situation of task implementation in the locality in the coming time.

Thorough preparation for the city Party Congress

Regarding the progress of preparations for the City Party Congress, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Thu Dau Mot City, Nguyen Thu Cuc, stated that the city has basically completed the documents, personnel, and organizational work. In which, the political report of the Party Executive Committee of the city presented to the 13th Congress of the Party Committee of Thu Dau Mot City for the term 2025-2030; the self-checking report of the Party Executive Committee of Thu Dau Mot City for the 12th term, 2020-2025; the resolution of the 13th Congress of the Party Committee of Thu Dau Mot City for the term 2025-2030 has been sent for feedback at the congresses of the grassroots Party organizations; The contributions of the Fatherland Front and various organizations in the city; of the officials who were formerly Permanent Members of the District and City Committees over different periods, are being collected for feedback from the Party Building Committees, provincial departments, and the Becamex IDC Corporation. At the same time, public opinions are being gathered on the "Dat Thu - My Hometown" page for compilation, reporting to the Executive Committee, and finalizing for the Provincial Party Standing Committee's review and comments at the beginning of March 2025.

In addition, the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee has focused on urgently directing the implementation of the review and supplement of the planning for the Executive Committee, the Standing Committee, and leadership and management positions for the terms 2020-2025, 2021-2026, and the terms 2025-2030, 2026-2031 in a strict and regulated manner; it has approved the planning of personnel positions under the management of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee for the grassroots Party Committees in accordance with the regulations; Implement the process of reviewing the staff planning of the city for the terms 2020-2025, 2021-2026, and the terms 2025-2030, 2026-2031 in accordance with regulations; issue a decision approving the planning of the City Party Committee for the terms 2020-2025 and 2025-2030. The personnel work for the congress is calculated in conjunction with the arrangement of the organization, with plans to finalize the personnel proposal and submit it to the Provincial Party Standing Committee for consideration and feedback in early March.

In concluding the meeting, the Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Nguyen Van Loi, acknowledged and highly appreciated the efforts and determination of the city in carrying out its tasks during the first two months of 2025. Notably, the city organized many vibrant and diverse activities to celebrate the New Year and the Lunar New Year of the Year of the Snake, which received the support and joy of the people.

Regarding some tasks in the upcoming period, the Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee suggested that the city prepare thoroughly and meticulously for the preparation and organization of the XIII Congress of the People's Committee of Thu Dau Mot City for the term 2025-2030, ensuring it is successful. Mr. Nguyen Van Loi also proposed that the city continue to effectively implement Resolution 18 on reorganizing the organizational structure; continue to improve the quality of medical examination and treatment, and healthcare for the people, with a focus on digitization in the medical field; and maintain and enhance the quality of education.

Regarding the implementation of Resolution 57, the Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee believes that Thu Dau Mot City is a center for innovation and creativity, therefore specific tasks that need to be done in the near future must be identified. Mr. Nguyen Van Loi proposed that the city closely coordinate with the provincial departments and sectors to overcome difficulties in creating funding sources for infrastructure investment, including the Saigon River waterfront road which is to be constructed in 2025.

Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Van Loi believes that with the tradition of solidarity and high determination of the Party Committee, government, and people, Thu Dau Mot City will continue to be a pioneer in many fields of the province; at the same time, proactively overcoming difficulties, being more dynamic and creative in order to build and develop Thu Dau Mot City to be increasingly civilized and modern, making significant contributions to the province's goal of achieving double-digit growth in the coming time.
