Seminar introducing new regulations on printing held

On the morning of June 8, a seminar in Thu Dau Mot city of Binh Duong province was held to introduce some new regulations on printing activities under Decree No. 72/2022/ND-CP of the government.

The seminar was organized by the Ministry of Information and Communications in collaboration with the Department of Information and Communications of Binh Duong province, in order to update new legal regulations on the field of printing, and at the same time, to disseminate policies to raise the awareness of acceptance and law enforcement by organizations and individuals, as well as ensuring that Decree No. 72/2022/ND-CP of the Government is implemented synchronously, evenly and uniformly in an approach for effective application from central to local authorities in an opportunity to learn about the market, promote investment, and contribute to the development of the printing industry in Vietnam in general and the southern region in particular.

Attending the workshop were Nguyen Nguyen, Director of the Department of Publication, Printing and Distribution and 200 representatives representing the Departments of Information and Communication of the southern provinces and cities, the General Department of Customs, a number of departments, Vietnam Printing Association, Binh Duong Province Printing Association, Southern Regional Printing Association, leaders of enterprises importing and trading in printing equipment.

Decree No. 72/2022/ND-CP of the government promulgates on the basis of inheriting advantages from current regulations, and at the same time abolishing and amending regulations that are no longer appropriate by supplementing and perfecting them with new regulations on printing operations.

At the workshop, the delegates exchanged, discussed and answered about the new regulations in Decree No. 72/2022/ND-CP of the government and the difficulties and obstacles in the implementation process as well as the public policy and State management of printing activities. Besides, the delegates exchanged and shared experiences on good practices and effective business plans, proposed specific solutions to improve the legal system on printing in line with reality to meet the requirements of integration and development.
