Silent but noble contributions

Update: 27-10-2021 | 12:09:10

Women's Union (WU) of North Tan Uyen district has summarized five-year implementation of Directive 05 and commended excellent collectives and individuals in the prevention and control of the Covid-19. Their actions are a silent but valuable contribution in the difficult time for the whole society.

Exemplary members and women are commended by North Tan Uyen district Women's Union.

Facing the complicated Covid-19 situation in the area, Women's Union of North Tan Uyen district promptly carried out activities, from propagation, information to volunteer to participate in disease prevention and control. The women contributed to drive the Covid-19 away with the determination to build and maintain the "green zone", bring the locality to the "new normalcy", resume production, and soon stabilize li.

Phan Thi Ngoc Loi, Chairwoman of North Tan Uyen district WU, said that with the spirit of mutual affection, officials, members, and women of the district provided the front-line participants and disadvantaged people with necessities worth hundreds of millions of VND. The Women's Union also organized many practical models, such as Loving Kitchen, Gratitude Meal, Buying necessities for people, and directly participated in volunteer teams to take samples and help women, children, and F0 patients at isolation treatment sites, lockdown areas…

Nguyen Thi Van, a member of WU in Choi Dung hamlet, Binh My commune, is one of those who has wholeheartedly supported people in need due to Covid-19. During the time of social distancing, there were many unemployed workers and needy families, Van shared their difficulties by gifts of essential things. Responding to the call "Women in green areas assist and share difficulties with women in red areas", she promptly sent instant noodles and drinking water to isolation areas in Hoi Nghia ward, Tan Uyen town, contributing more to the pandemic fight. Van also regularly prepares many gifts, such as rice, eggs, vegetables, pork... for lonely elderly and workers at lodging rooms, who have no jobs and no income.

Do Thi Ha, a member of WU of Quarter 4, Tan Thanh town, also silently take noble actions but is always humble "Nothing big!". As a volunteer of the district Women's Union, she actively participates in support activities as assigned. She donated to WU in the program "Thousand glasses of milk for children", "Bags of love for children", "Smile in the full moon night"; together with Tan Thanh WU cooked and delivered free breakfast meals to disadvantaged households and disease control checkpoints in the area to encourage the pandemic fight.

Ha said: “In the peak days of the Covid-19, information about thousands of new cases every day and so many people in need of help made me restless. I decided to contribute money, and together with many other women cooked delicious meals for people who were far from their families or in quarantine. I'm lucky to live with my family, while many people are fighting the disease, I have to do something to help the community."

Do Thi Kieu Oanh (Thuong Tan commune) was also a commended person in the Covid-19 prevention control. Oanh is a student of Thu Dau Mot University and has volunteered to participate in the Covid-19 prevention control in "red zone" of Tan Uyen town. Kieu Oanh volunteered for a 45-day period with other volunteers from North Tan Uyen district. I was not afraid of hardships and dangers with my luggage of faith in the victory against the pandemic. Kieu Oanh went to Tan Uyen Town to assist in testing, separating F0s from the community…

The very quiet and meaningful contributions of Kieu Oanh and the members of Women's Union of North Tan Uyen district have helped repel the coronavirus and best protect the health of the people.
