Located in the southern province of Ba Ria Vung Tau, Six Senses Con Dao has been listed among the leading 15 resorts in Asia by the US travel magazine Travel + Leisure.
The list has been compiled from the results of online readers' votes conducted within the framework of the World's Best Awards 2022, with the evaluation criteria based on facilities, location, service, food, and overall value.
Six Senses Con Dao was named as the country’s sole representative in the list, ranking 15th with a score of 96.8, behind only Indonesia’s Alila Villas Uluwatu with 96.88 points.
First established in late 2010, the resort boasts a long-standing reputation in Vietnam and attracts visitors thanks to its combination of pristine beaches and majestic mountains.
The resort features a total of 50 villas and private rooms. Its design is inspired by houses in traditional Vietnamese fishing villages which merged with the style of contemporary architecture. In addition, all rooms have infinity pools which look out to sea.
Six Senses Con Dao is the first and only five-star resort in the island district of Con Dao, that welcomed famous movie stars such as Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie to come and stay during their vacation in 2011. The average room rate per night is roughly VND15 million.
The Southeast Asian region has seven more representatives in the list, including places from Thailand, Indonesia, and Cambodia. Waldorf Astoria Maldives Ithaafushi resort takes the lead in the list with a total score of 99.11 based on the positive reviews from visitors.
