Social charity activities held across province

*A charity group organized by members of Binh Duong Daily’s charity column “Hay goi den chung toi” (Call us), on December 21, visited, gave gifts and organized games for nearly 40 children at a charity house of Bung parish in Thuan An town’s Lai Thieu ward on the occasion of 2013 Christmas.

Donors across the province presented Christmas gifts, including confectionary, clothes, notebooks, books…, to children at the center. On this occasion, the charity group also added hundreds of books into the library of the charity house. It is known that these gifts has a total value of VND10mln.

*In the 2008-2013 tenure, the Fatherland Front Committee of Phu Hoa ward in TDM city mobilized VND135ln to the local Fund for the Poor, teamed up with units to disburse more than VND5.6bln in loan for the local people to develop home based business, handed over 20 great unity houses worth more than VND638mln to the local needy people.

*Early December 22, Phuong Trinh charity group in collaboration with Chan Nhu charity group and some donors visited and presented 133 Tet gifts worth more than VND12mln to blind people in Thuan An town.

*Prudential Vietnam Insurance Life Company (Prudential Vietnam) has just joined hands with Di An town’s Division of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs to present 30 gifts worth VND500,000 each to poor-but-excellent pupils in Di An town. This was part of the company’s activities of “For the development of Vietnamese community”, encouraging poor-but-excellent pupils to rise up in study and become useful citizens to the society.

Since early this year, Prudential Vietnam has spent VND200mln on social charity activities across the province.
