Socioeconomic condition of the first quarter 2015 continues to grow

Morning April 9^th, provincial Party Committee convened the extended 20^th Party Executive Committee Conference (term 9). Mr. Mai The Trung, member of Central Party Committee, Secretary of provincial Party Committee, Head of provincial NA’s delegation, chaired the meeting.

At the conference, Mr. Tran Van Nam, Deputy Secretary of provincial Party Committee, Chairman of PPC, gave the report on socio-economic, defense - security condition of the first quarter 2015, and key tasks in the second quarter of 2015.

According to PPC, during the first three months of 2015, PPC focused on implementing drastically, comprehensively, effectively solutions according to the Government’s Resolution regarding of socioeconomic development, defense – security maintaining. Due to enthusiasm of agencies, sectors, businesses, and people, socioeconomic condition of the first quarter 2015 continued to grow, achieved positive results in most areas. 

Namely, provincial GDP of the first quarter increased 9.3% compared to 9% of the first quarter 2014; industrial production value continued to grow, obtained VND49,484 billion (increasing 11.2%,), industrial development index increased by 6.8% over the same period; export value estimated at $4.219 billion (increasing 15.6%); import value estimated at $3.628 billion (increasing by 15.5%); budget revenue reach VND9,500 billion (achieving 27.9% provincial People’s Council estimation, increasing 19% over the same period).

In the field of credit, total deposits reached VND98,958 billion (increasing 14.4%  over the same period); loans reached VND79,580 billion (increasing 13.4% over the same period). During the first quarter, the province attracted VND3,835 billion of domestic investment and $402 million of foreign investment; and mobilized more resources to take care of spiritual and material life of policy beneficiaries, army force, the poor, and workers.

In the second quarter of 2015, in addition to regular duties, PPC will focus on the implementation of Resolution No. 01/NQ-CP of the Government regarding fulfilling targets of socioeconomic development and State Budget in 2015; reviewing the implementation of the 9^th provincial Party Congress Resolution; monitoring business’s activities to promptly remove difficulties and promote manufacturing; setting up investing plans for 5 years from 2016 to 2020, fundamental infrastructure building plans; solving completely clearance and compensation, finishing key projects, such as: My Phuoc - Tan Van route, DT 744 road, 1,500-sickbed hospital, drainage system on Highway 13…; implementing well regulations of high school graduation exam and university/college entrance exam in 2015; strengthening measures to ensure social security and order, traffic safety...

At the conference, Mr. Pham Van Canh, Deputy Secretary of provincial Party Committee, Chairman of provincial People’s Council, reported on reviewing Party Standing Committee and members in 2014. Mr. Nguyen Minh Giao, member of Party Standing Committee, Chief of Propaganda and Training Committee, reported on collecting opinions and feedbacks on draft of political report to provincial 10^th Party Congress (term 2015-2020).

At the beginning of the conference, Mr. Nguyen Phuc Lam, Party Standing member cum Head of Organizing Committee, announced the decision to assign Colonel Truong Binh Long, political commissar of provincial Military Command, as additional member of Party Executive Board (term 2015-2020).

In the afternoon, participants contributed onions, feedbacks on draft of political report submitted to provincial 10^th Party Congress (term 2015-2020).

The conference also took a vote of Executive Board on proposed personnel for Vice Chairman of PPC term 2011-2016. Accordingly, Mr. Mai Hung Dung, Director of Department of Planning – Investment was proposed as PPC’s Vice Chairman term 2011-2016 with 96.22% of votes. 

Speaking at the conference, Mr. Mai The Trung, Central Party Committee member, Secretary of provincial Party Committee, Head of provincial NA’s delegation, said, despite of many difficulties and challenges, provincial socio-economic situation of the first quarter of 2015 had a positive change, achieved comprehensive results in most areas.

Mr. Mai The Trung also pointed out the drawbacks that need to be made good, and noted important issues need to be completed in the near future in order to successfully implement goals and tasks set by Resolution 2015 of provincial Party Committee and People's Council.
