+As of the late 2012, the entire province had 6,193 medical cadres, up 1,120 people compared with the same period last year. Of these, the public medical sector included 3,268 people, 298 of whom have post university degrees.

 

+In 2012, rate of medical cadres out of 10,000 residents reached 34.8; rate of doctors out of 10,000 people won 6; rate of pharmacists/10,000 residents reached 1. At present, 816 medical cadres have been working at commune, ward and township health stations; 100% of health stations has had doctors, mid-wives.

 

+On Feb. 10, 2012, the provincial People’s Committee issued Decision 337/QD-UBND on ratifying project on ensuring provincial medical human resources for the 2011-2015 period and orientation till 2020. Accordingly, the local administration targets to reach 6,8 doctors out of 10,000 people; 1,2 pharmacists/10,000 people; 37 medical cadres/10,000 people by 2015. it is expected that the total expense of the project is at over VND106bil.
