Sora Gardens I of Tokyu Binh Duong Urban Area Project kicked off

Early November 21, at the central Binh Duong New City of Thu Dau Mot City, Becamex Tokyu Co. Ltd. (venture of Japanese Tokyu Group and Becamex IDC Vietnam) held a ceremony to kick off construction of apartment skyscraper Sora Gardens I which is a part of Tokyu Binh Duong Urban Area Project or Tokyu Binh Duong Garden City at total investment cost of USD 1.2 billion. Ground is broken for Sora Gardens I Sora Gardents consists of 3 high-storey blocks of 1,500 apartments covering 31,287 square meters where Sora Gardens I is accounted for 9,082 square meters of 24-storey building servicing housing and commercial activities with 413 apartments. Beside the ideal space and environment-friendly designs with roof-top gardens and foundation trees, Sora Garden I is also invested with common space for recreation, rooftop pools, and parking lots. The Sora Garden I is expected to be put into use by 2014. As Mr. Hoshino Toshiyuki, General Director of Becamex Tokyu reported, the venture has made use of the 90-year experience and well-developed technologies of Tokyu Group which has succeeded in constructing Tokyu Tama Den-en Toshi covering 5,000 hectares in the outskirts of Tokyo. The place was developed from population of 20,000 to 600,000 in a modern urban area. Commenting on the advantages of the project, Mr. Hoshino Toshiyuki asserted that Binh Duong Province had its edges of industrial parks so attractive to investors and immigrants. He also noted the immense potentials of a new city Mr. Nguyen Van Hung, Chairman of BOD and General Director of Becamex IDC said: “The Japanese style is selected to make a difference in meeting utmost environment-friendly requirements as well as establishing business environment and global economic connection.” Attending the breaking-ground ceremony, Chairman of Provincial People’s Committee, Mr. Le Thanh Cung evaluated the Tokyu Binh Duong Urban Area Project as the momentum for socio-economic development. He highly appreciated the efforts of the investors and believed that the project would be successful so as to contribute to industrialization and urbanization stages in Binh Duong Province.
