Southeastern Study Promotion Association makes efforts in overcoming difficulties after Covid-19

On June 10, provincial Study Promotion Association hosted a session to review the activities of the Southeastern Study Promotion Association in the first 6 months of 2022. The event was attended by leaders of the Study Promotion Associations in 7 provinces and cities in the Southeastern region in Bau Bang district.

In the first 6 months of 2022, despite being greatly affected by the Covid-19 pandemic, the Southeastern Study Promotion Association made great efforts in overcoming all difficulties, successfully completing the task of study promotion, building up a learning-based society. Specifically, the region’s study promotion associations mobilized more than VND 630 billion from organizations and individuals; raised 1.2 million piggy banks with more than VND 518 billion.

They also awarded 143,762 scholarships worth more than VND 124 billion; donated 528,054 gifts worth more than VND 175.9 trillion to students. The whole cluster now has 1,164 community learning centers with more than 9,300 topics, attracting more than 2 million participants.

Upholding its results done over the past time, the Southeastern Study Promotion Association will further implement the proposed programs in order to well perform study promotion, talent promotion, building up a learning-based society; evaluate and get lessons from the models of citizens with learning for better development.

In the 7 southeastern provinces and cities, there are currently 66,630 study promotion branches and groups with a total of 4,233,961 members (accounting for 21.54% of the region’s population).
