Placing jobs, reducing poverty

 

TDM town over time provided more than VND14bln in loan from Program 120 for 85 loan-borrowing projects, contributing to generating jobs for 1,277 laborers. The town also offered jobs for 5,636 laborers annually; mobilized many loan sources for the poor to develop homebased business, contributing to helping reduce by 3,856 poor households. Currently, it strives to reduce the ratio of the local poor household by the end of 2010 to 1.54% under the province’s new poverty line…

 

Apartedly, TDM town paid more attention to public healthcare, population and family planning. All its communes and wards got national standards in health aspect. It is now home to 2 general hospitals and 400 private medical-pharmaceutical facilities, contributing to taking care of the local people’s health under the trend of education socialization…Along with these, TDM town well realized the task of “paying debt of gratitude” that it built hundreds of unity and gratitude houses worth VND5.59bln and paid gift visits to tens of thousands of social-policy beneficiaries.

 

Education with diversified development

 

TDM town’s education and training sector also saw diversified development over the past time. As of late 2009, there were more than 72.000 pupils and students attending TDM town-based schools. TDM town now has 52 public schools, 18 non-public schools, 24 junior colleges, colleges and universities. Among them, there are currently 19 school nationally standardized, up 9 compared to 2005. In addition to material facilities well invested, the quality of education herein also saw improvement…

 

Moreover, TDM town attached special importance to raising the quality of the campaign “The entire people consolidate to build cultured lifestyle in residential quarter”. As of late 2009, the whole town had more than 90% of households, 60% of hamlets and 96% of State agencies awarded the “cultural household”, “cultural hamlet” and “cultural unit” tittles. Many cultural and sporting works herein were also invested, contributing to improving the spiritual lives of the local people…

 

TDM town also ensured national defence and security, greatly contributing to helping it obtain achievements in socio-economic and cultural development over the past time.
