Spreading models of “Learning and following uncle Ho”

To keep enhancing the studying and following the moral example of Ho Chi Minh under the Politburo’s directive in Directive 03-CT/TW, Di An town Party Committee has identified this as a key, throughout task, one important measure for successful implementation of Central Resolution 4 (11^th term) on Party building and performing political tasks. After 5 implementation years of the Directive 03, Di An town Party and people have actively followed uncle Ho’s example with their earnest and a deep pride. Many typical models and examples have emerged through practical, effective actions positively impacting on all aspects of social life.

Seriously studying and following

According to Mr. Pham Ngoc An, Head of Di An Party Propaganda and Training Committee, the implementation results of Directive 03 have directly contributed to the successful implementation of local political tasks. All levels and units in Di An Town have directed and gradually turned the studying and following uncle Ho into self-conscious, regular deeds of collectives and individuals; and combined the movement with the implementation of political, professional tasks, other emulation movements. Thus, the Party, government and people in the town have succeeded in political tasks, achieved outstanding results in socio-economic development.

After 5 years, Di An Town has actually created profound changes from awareness to actions of each collective and individual. Localities, units have actively taken part in the movement to turn the studying and following uncle Ho into an important, regular task of Party organizations, cadres, and all the people. More and more  movements, good persons, good deeds, good practices or model have emerged, for example, "My family follow uncle Ho’s teachings”, “One hour for energy saving”, “Office smile”, style of “hello, sorry, thank you, ask for permission” and “always smile, always be gentle, always understand, always help"; "Bright, green, clean and beautiful" movement associated with cultural life construction in localities, model of “Being close to the people, helping the people”; “Telling HCM stories to prisoners”… have obtained positive effects and been expanded across the entire town and other districts.

Mr. Nguyen Van Loc, Di An Town Party Committee Secretary, said that the most encouraging thing during 5 implementation years of the Directive 03 was most cadres and Party members had improved their self-consciousness about cultivating their virtues, lifestyle to follow HCM moral example, especially virtues like diligence, thrift, integrity, truthfulness, selflessness; had better changes in the relationship with the people, collectives; had a positive impact on  the fulfillment of political tasks in sectors and localities. Many patriotic emulation movements associated with learning and following the moral example of HCM have contributed directly to the successful implementation of local socio-economic objectives and tasks, especially the fulfillment of the 10^th Di An Town Party Resolution’ targets.

A highlight with many practical models

With an initiative and earnest spirit in the implementation of studying and following HCM, after 5 years, Di An has increased the number of typically collectives, individuals following uncle Ho. Many models, practical deeds have been carried out by localities, units and organizations, and achieved high effectiveness. On occasion of reviewing Directive 03 implementation, Di An Town commended 6 excellent models, introduced 30 pervasive models, and 41 typical collectives, 96 individuals in learning and following the moral example of HCM. This partially showed vivid results of practical effective practices in many fields.

Each collective, cadre, Party member and individual in Di An Town choose different ways to follow HCM. However, their "denominator" is learning uncle Ho from specific and practical things, then heightening their responsibilities in task fulfillment, being exemplary in economic development and civilization lifestyle; building up prosperous family and hometown. In particular, Party cadres, public servants have had many changes in their works, stayed close to the people, listened to people’s aspirations, enhanced dialogues to consolidate consensus in the people… The movement has also created an animated atmosphere, contributed to the successful implementation of the Party Resolution and the local socio-economic development, ensuring national defense - security, changing the town face towards urban civilization.
