Spring is in the air on modeling roads

In recent years, the people of Phu Giao district have actively participated in the construction of thousands of rural transportation roads that are bright, green, clean, beautiful, and ensured with security and order, which have contributed to the continuous development of the local area.

Flowery rural roads

In the district of Phu Giao, on the first day of the year, when passing through the exemplary roads in An Binh commune, we can feel the beautiful scenery, the ensured environmental sanitation, and the relatively good public order and security. Mr. Le Minh Chi, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of An Binh commune, stated that the locality has 206 rural transportation routes. To aim for the construction of an enhanced new rural model, local authorities have been continuously renovating the rural landscape in the commune, thereby mobilizing the participation of the people in building over 90 flower-lined roads.

Over the past 4 years, thousands of citizens have actively engaged in planting flowers and caring for trees along both sides of the road. Many households have taken on the responsibility of cleaning and maintaining the cleanliness of the streets. Nearly a thousand households have invested their own funds to install energy-efficient streetlights along 90 rural transportation routes in the commune. During the night, the lighting on these rural transportation routes is ensured, preventing traffic accidents and social issues.

The reporter was taken to the vibrant flower-lined road of Cong Gac. Mr. Nguyen Huy Dan, Secretary of the Party Committee of Dong Sen hamlet, An Binh commune, stated that in order to achieve the model road standard by 2023, the hamlet has mobilized residents to contribute 45 million VND to invest in greenery along the road. Through this campaign, the residents have contributed 6 million VND to purchase flagpoles and install dozens of security cameras along the road.

According to Mr. Nguyen Huy Dan, in order to maintain the criteria of the model road, the hamlet has established a "Model Road Community Group" with 22 members. Through the Zalo group, members of the group regularly update information on road hygiene, tree planting, flower care, as well as the appearance of strangers in the hamlet for prevention purposes. Thanks to their effective crime prevention efforts, there have been no incidents affecting security and order in Dong Sen hamlet in the past 5 years.

In an interview with a reporter, Ms. Hoang Thi Ngoc Lan, Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee in Tam Lap commune, stated that there are over 10 exemplary rural transportation routes in the commune. Through socialization efforts, local residents have contributed nearly 300 million Vietnamese dong to plant flowers, install surveillance cameras, and erect flagpoles. The installation of dozens of cameras along various road axes enables local authorities to easily monitor the local situation and track suspicious individuals.

Vice Chairwoman of Phu Giao district Fatherland Front Committee, Mrs. Le Thi Huong, stated that in recent times, the local authorities have mobilized the participation of the community in the implementation of the national target program for rural development, with a focus on constructing various model projects. Notably, the exemplary model of a road network that is bright, green, clean, beautiful, and ensuring security and order has contributed to the overall beauty of the locality.

According to Ms. Le Thi Huong, in order to encourage the spirit of community participation in building exemplary road networks, the local authorities organized a competition for exemplary road designs in 2023. This is also a method of propaganda and mobilization to actively engage the people in constructing clean, green, and beautiful landscapes, ensuring security and order in the area. Accordingly, timely recognition and rewards are given to outstanding groups and individuals.
