Update: 24-02-2010 | 00:00:00

Vietnam is committed to strengthening and broadening relations with Greece, Poland, France and Afghanistan, said State President Triet.

President Triet made the statement while receiving newly accredited ambassadors from the four countries who came to present their credentials to him in Hanoi on February 23.

Mr. Triet proposed that the ambassadors work closely with relevant Vietnamese agencies to increase the exchange of diplomatic visits at all levels, share experience on economic development, and reinforce mutual knowledge about their respective cultures.

He wished the ambassadors success in fulfilling their duties so that relations between Vietnam and their countries will continue to improve.

The ambassadors said it was an honour to receive a posting to Vietnam, praising Vietnam’s impressive achievements in national construction and development.

They conveyed regards from their heads of state to Mr. Triet and vowed to promote friendship and cooperation between their countries and Vietnam.
