Statue of Buddha in Nervana introduced in Hoi Khanh Pagoda

Morning of March 30th, operational board of Binh Duong Buddhism Association solemnly organized an open ceremony of Buddha in Nirvana statue and Binh Duong school of Buddhism. Attending the ceremony was Party Secretary of provincial Party’s Committee Mai The Trung, province’s Chairman Nguyen Hoang Son, and representatives from sectors, agencies, National Buddhism Center, and followers from provinces.

The construction site covers 3,200 square meters in an area of 13,200 square meters of Hoi Khanh Pagoda. It includes the statue of 52 meters long and 24 meters high and 4 multi-purpose halls.

The construction of nearly VND 2bln is a gathering place and also a school for Buddhism study.

On behalf of the province Deputy People’s Committee Chairman Nguyen Van Hiep has stated his words in celebrating the meaningful construction.
