Strengthening Covid-19 prevention and control during Tet

Provincial Steering Standing Committee for Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases has just issued the Official Letter No. 07/CV-BCD requesting departments, agencies, sectors, mass organizations and People's Committees of districts, towns and cities to strengthen pandemic prevention and control, ensuring health measures during the Tet (Lunar New Year) festival and festive seasons in 2023.

Among the five common tasks, agencies and units need to promote communication to implement the message "2K”, including masks and disinfection, vaccines, medicines, treatment, technology and public awareness and measures on Covid-19 prevention-control in the new situation, absolutely not being subjective, negligent or losing vigilance. Especially, local units need to step up inspection and remind units to ensure anti-pandemic measures and limit the spread of pandemic for production, business, service and tourism establishments, hotels, markets, supermarkets, bus stations, public places, crowded areas during Tet. Provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism needs to direct units organizing events gathering a large number of people, cultural and art performance venues to well implement the message of the health sector. Provincial Industrial Parks Management Board, Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs and Department of Industry and Trade should request partners and workers' managers, especially those regularly entering the country to monitor their health in order to coordinate with health authorities to promptly implement timely medical treatment and intervention measures.

Especially, units under provincial Department of Health and healthcare facilities need to deploy three pillars of pandemic prevention and control: "isolation, testing, and treatment".
