On March 15, provincial Department of Industry and Trade (DoIT) in collaboration with provincial Consumer Protection Association organized a ceremony to mark the Vietnam Consumer Rights Day 2023.
According to provincial DoIT, all-level Party committees, authorities, mass organizations and socio-political organizations of the province paid more attention to protecting consumers ‘rights and interests over the past time. Provincial DoIT coordinated with other agencies and units to strengthen law enforcement to protect consumers’ legitimate interests and rights. In 2023, provincial Consumer Protection Association has put forward 10 key tasks, including further developing new members; improving the operational quality of consumer protection groups and clubs and establishing customer protection groups at lodging facilities. The association will also promote coordination activities with functional sectors in the fight against the fight against smuggling, counterfeits and trade frauds in order to protect consumers’ legitimate interests and rights.
On this occasion, the Vietnam Consumer Protection Association awarded the certificates of merit to 4 collectives and 5 individuals. Provincial Consumer Protection Association awarded the certificates of merit to 3 collectives and 3 individuals for their outstanding achievements in the work of protecting consumers ‘legitimate rights and interests last year.
