 According to Nguyen Thi Phuong, vice-chairwoman of provincial Women’s Union, the information dissemination of HIV/AIDS prevention among women and people from all walks of life is a very necessary action for provincial Women’s Union and its affiliates.  

Propaganda task needs to be made deeply and widely to  raise public awareness of HIV/AIDS prevention

 Many propaganda activities against HIV/AIDS have been organized by provincial Women’s Union. Especially, provincial Women’s Union, in collaboration with provincial HIV/AIDS Prevention Center, has held a writing contest on HIV/AIDS prevention this year so that the local women have a chance to learn and raise better measures for the propaganda task about the dangerous disease.

 After two-month launching, this contest has lured more than 7,000 entries with the main contents pertaining to the Party and State’s policies against HIV/AIDS in terms of marriage-family, employment and healthcare; the rights and responsibilities of HIV/AIDS carriers to their families and society and vice versa; the role of women and girls in the HIV/AIDS prevention and gender equality…

 Le Minh Thu, from the Women’s Union of Binh Thanh ward in Di An town, said that the local Women’s Union has strengthened its propaganda activities against HIV/AIDS among young people. The local Women’s Union also needs to call for young people to take part in the youth unions, clubs and groups…, contributing to restricting the harmful effects of social evils.

 With the object of having at least 50% of juveniles with the knowledge about reproductive health and the education on skills solving difficulties in life, provincial Women’s Union will help parents to get access to scientific measures in educating their children.

 Possibly speaking, with many propaganda methods, provincial Women’s Unions at all levels have shared efforts with the society in the HIV/AIDS prevention.
