Seventy competitors on 16 teams from across the country are registered to compete at the 2013 National Strong Clubs Table Tennis Tournament in southern Can Tho city from August 14-17.

The audience will enjoy fierce competition between many of Vietnam’s top table tennis players, including Dinh Quang Linh, Dao Duy Hoang, Tran Tuan Quynh, Mai Hoang My Trang and Nguyen Thi Viet Linh.

Participants on eight men’s and eight women’s teams are battling it out for medals in singles and team events.

The tournament, part of activities to mark Can Tho’s 10 years as a centrally-run city, provides a good opportunity to promote sport in the locality, while helping quench local fans’ thirst for top table tennis performances.
