Train many generations of "5-good students"

Tran Thi Diem Trinh, Secretary of Provincial Youth Union, Chairwoman of Provincial Student Association, shared: "With the theme "Binh Duong students cultivate virtues, develop talent, study, create, volunteer, integrate to build a prosperous, strong and civilized Binh Duong", in the past term, members and students throughout the province were active and proactive in studying, training, and scientific research; actively studied resolutions of Party congresses at all levels, Youth Union congresses and Student Union congresses at all levels with practical and appropriate contents. The highlight is that the "5-good students" movement in the province has achieved many encouraging results; In particular, the propagation of solutions to create an environment for students to participate and achieve the title of "5-good students" had positive changes, the quality of "5-good students" at all levels is increasingly improved.

“Student of 5 Goods” is a noble title for students, aiming to be a model of a comprehensive student in all aspects, therefore, to achieve the 5 criteria of this title (ethics, learning, physical strength, volunteering, integration), students have to make a lot of effort. During the past term, the whole province had 28 students winning the title of "5-good students" at the Central level, 2,400 individuals and 226 groups were honored as "5-good students" and "5-good collectives” at all levels. Many affiliated associations have paid attention to creating an environment to help students practice and meet the criteria for this title.

Competition to cultivate virtue and talent

To create conditions for students to have a dedicated environment to study, practice, and strive to become "5-good students", Student Associations have supported students in all aspects, with many models and movements that promote learning and training to help students complete all 5 criteria, cultivate virtue and talent.

Accordingly, Student Association at all levels enhanced moral, lifestyle education, traditional education, and legal education activities among students through various forms. One of the highlights in the past term is that Provincial Student Association and its branch at all levels mobilized and awarded 1,500 scholarships to students, with a total value of nearly VND5 billion; introduced 30,000 jobs to students. In particular, Provincial Student Association launched the project "Lighting up the white dove's dream" with funds and scholarships for students in the province with an initial value of VND1.3 billion.

During the past term, the students’ learning, creativity, and scientific research movement continued to be effectively carried out at all levels, creating an environment for students learn and adapt to new training methods. Clubs, groups of students studying and doing scientific research have developed strongly, with diverse forms of activities. Student Associations at schools also established 91 clubs, groups, teams for studying and scientific research with nearly 8,000 members.

The number of students participating in volunteer activities continuously increased over the school years. Among them, programs, like "Exam season support", student volunteer campaign "Green Summer", Youth Volunteer Campaign, "Winter Volunteer" and "Spring Volunteer"... attracted the participation of thousands of students with total mobilized resources of billions of Dong.

In particular, during the Covid-19 pandemic, Provincial Student Association organized many volunteer activities, thousands of students participated in the front line to fight the disease. These activities have created a beautiful image of Binh Duong students in the hearts of all people, contributing to the province's overall victory in this fierce war...

With many outstanding contributions in learning and training, in the past term, more than 85 students were honored to join the ranks of the Communist Party of Vietnam; and Binh Duong Provincial Student Association was honored to receive third-class Labor Medal awarded by the President.  Works and movements of Provincial Student Associations were recognized and praised by the Central Youth Union, Central Vietnam Student Association, Provincial People's Committee...
