Students of Thu Dau Mot University win third prize at the 7th National Student Startup Festival

From April 18 to 20, the final round of the 7th National Student Startup Day took place at Ho Chi Minh City University of Technical Education. The program was organized by the Central Committee of Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, the Ministry of Education and Training in coordination with People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City.

This year's competition attracted 775 projects from students nationwide. The Organizing Committee selected 125 excellent projects for the final round, awarded prizes according to the following groups: business creating social impact; industry; agriculture - forestry - fishery; education - health - culture - tourism; services - finance - banking.

A group of five students from Thu Dau Mot University participated in a competition with their project titled "ROSTICA Basil Extract: A Functional Product for Supporting Stomach Pain Relief." The group, consisting of Nguyen Thi Mai Linh, Nguyen Ha Kha Tu, Phan Gia Quyen, Tran Thi Ngoc Anh, and Tran Nhat Minh, performed excellently and advanced to the final round of the competition. At the closing and award ceremony, the project “ROSTICA basil extract” by Thu Dau Mot University’s students won third prize. This achievement is not only the pride of the school's students but also affirms the important role of students in creating products of practical value for the community.

At the ceremony, Thu Dau Mot University was also awarded a certificate of merit by the Ministry of Education and Training for its exceptional achievements in supporting students to start businesses during the period from 2017 to 2025.
