Summer youth volunteer campaign, “Green Sunday” program launched in province

Early June 14, North Tan Uyen district’s Youth Union held a ceremony to launch the 2020 summer youth volunteer campaign, “Green Sunday” program at Tan Lap primary school in Tan Lap commune.

At the ceremony, the district’s Youth Union set up youth volunteer squads with 30 members; awarded 10 “green dream” scholarships worth VND3million to needy children; coordinated with the Youth Union branch of provincial Department of Industry and Trade to offer 15 stone benches to district-based primary and high schools.

After the ceremony, the local Youth Union members launched a “Green Sunday” program with green trees planted on streets in Tan Lap commune. On this occasion, the district’s Youth Union inaugurated a “lighting rural road” youth work with solar lights installed on street No.12 in Tan Lap commune with a total cost of VND45million; provided free medical check-ups and medicine for 50 people in the commune.

*Early June 14, the Youth Union of Phu Loi ward in TDM city coordinated with the Youth Union branches of Inspection Security Department, Social Order-Administrative Management Department under provincial Police Agency and the Youth Union branch of provincial People’s Procuracy to carry out a “Green Sunday” program, a “Pink vocation” campaign and a “Beloved milk” program for the offspring of young workers.

Accordingly, more than 40 Youth Union members, soldiers from units made environmental hygiene on civilized alleys in the ward. They also visited and offered gifts to the offspring of workers at the local lodging sub-unions for young workers.

*On the morning of the same day, the Youth Union and Youth Federation of Binh An ward in Di An city launched the 2020 summer youth volunteer campaign under the theme of “Youths in Binh An volunteering for the community”.

Particularly, the local Youth Union members got involved in clearing the flow of Vam Suoi street, contributing to the local environmental protection and civilized urban construction.

*Early June 14, the Youth Union of Tan Dinh ward in Ben Cat town teamed up with the Youth Union branches of Personnel-Organization Department and Mobile Police Department under provincial Police Agency to launch the 2020 summer youth volunteer campaign and “Green Sunday” program.

Accordingly, the local Youth Union members and soldiers got involved in collecting waste, cleaning up the highway 13 and carried out a youth work “Clean corner of street” in quarter 3…
