Reportedly, the province has had hundreds of children orphaned due to Covid-19 pandemic. This is a great pain for these children, especially those from families with difficult circumstances. Along with the State and the province’s support policies, many organizations and individuals have had practical activities to support these children.

Provincial Women's Union Standing Committee and Association for Women Entrepreneurs agreed to support, nurture these orphans. The program will connect with the Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Foreign Trade of Vietnam (Vietcombank) to open accounts for their legal guardians. Currently, 38 businesswomen are supporting 105 orphans aged 1 and 16. Each child will receive VND1million every month within one year. The total amount of the support program is more than 1.2 billion VND. In addition, depending on their financial ability, these businesswomen can give more other support such as school supplies, milk, clothes, computers…

On behalf of provincial leaders, Mr. Loc respectfully acknowledged the support of units and individuals as well as the significance of the program. He said that the loss of relatives is irreparable. The attention and support of the authorities and donors are very necessary to help the children ease their pain, further trying harder in study, growing up and making the deceased feel secure.

He also said that if having any difficulties or needing help, the godmothers of the above children should directly contact the local authorities, schools, mass associations for timely support… in the future.
