To timely support

The Provincial Federation of Labor has recently sent a document to unions at all levels to care for and support union members and workers affected by storm No. 3. Accordingly, for union members and workers who died, the support level is 10 million VND/person; for the family of union members and employees who died, the support level is 5 million VND/person; for union members and employees who were seriously injured and had to be hospitalized, the support level is from 1-5 million VND/person. Union members and workers whose houses have collapsed, damaged or are completely beyond repair and must be rebuilt will receive a support of 50 million VND/case...

Following the direction of the Provincial Labor Confederation, in recent days, trade unions at all levels in the province have supported people in the Northern provinces and checked cases of workers whose family members were affected by storm No. 3. Up to now, many grassroots trade unions have given support money to workers.

For example, the Trade Union of Motomotion Vietnam Co., Ltd. (under the Trade Union of Ben Cat Industrial Parks) presented financial support to 6 workers who suffered heavy losses due to storm No. 3. After receiving the support, the workers thanked the union for its aid. They promised to make more efforts to help their families overcome difficulties after the storm and flood.

Many trade unions in VSIP 1, My Phuoc Industrial Park, Song Than 1 Industrial Park are also reviewing the list of unions and workers affected by storm No. 3 to make timely proposals and support in accordance with the direction of the Provincial Labor Confederation. Many grassroots trade unions not only do a good job of donating to support people in the northern provinces but also directly care for workers whose houses or families in Lao Cai, Hung Yen, and Bac Can provinces suffered losses to provide timely support. Namely, recently, the Trade Union of Compass 2 Company (under VSIP Trade Union) gave support to 8 union members and employees whose families were affected by storm No. 3. The support level was 3 million VND/person. This work was highly appreciated by workers and the union organization.

A valuable source of encouragement

According to Ms. Dang Thi Kim Chi, Chairwoman of the Binh Duong Textile and Garment Trade Union, in recent days, union members and workers of trade unions under the Binh Duong Textile and Garment Trade Union have continued to take practical actions to join hands and contribute to helping people in the northern provinces overcome the pain caused by storm No. 3. As of September 27, workers and grassroots trade unions have donated more than 900 million VND and many tons of essential goods. In addition, the Trade Union directed grassroots trade unions to review the list of union members and workers whose houses or family members were affected by storm No. 3, in order to have timely support policies to motivate employees working in Binh Duong and their families to quickly stabilize their lives after the storm and flood.

It can be affirmed that the support for workers whose houses were affected or whose families were affected by storm No. 3 by the Provincial Labor Federation is a humane act, which is of interest and highly appreciated by business owners, trade unions, and workers. This work has promptly helped and supported the families of union members and workers affected by storm No. 3 to soon stabilize their lives.
