Yesterday afternoon (July 11), provincial Party Committee held a symposium: "Promoting the values ​​of Vietnamese culture and people to realize the aspiration to build a prosperous and happy country". Nguyen Hoang Thao, Permanent Vice-Secretary of provincial Party Committee chaired the conference.

Arousing desire to develop a prosperous and happy country

At the conference, Prof. Dr. Vu Minh Giang, Vice-Chairman of the Vietnam Association of Historical Sciences, Chairman of the Hanoi National University’s Science and Training Council implemented the special subject with the participation of more than 1,000 key officials of the province.

An overview of the symposium

The special subject emphasizes the tasks and solutions to build and promote Vietnamese cultural values ​​and human strength in the new context, first of all to build a national value system, cultural value system and standards of Vietnamese people; the work of educating Vietnamese people in the new era... The document of the 13th Party Congress clearly states: "Strengthening education on patriotism, national pride, national history- tradition, and a sense of social responsibility of people from all strata, especially young people..., raising awareness and sense of respecting and observing the law, protecting the environment, preserving the cultural identity of Vietnamese people" while focusing on educating ethics, personality, creative thinking, life skills, working skills, foreign languages, information technology, digital technology and core values; linking education of knowledge, morals, aesthetics and life skills with physical education, raising the stature of Vietnamese people.

Next is to build a good and healthy cultural environment. Our Party defines: "Building, developing and creating the most favorable environment and social conditions aim at arousing patriotic tradition, national pride, belief and aspiration to develop a prosperous and happy country; Vietnamese people’s talent, intelligence and virtues are the most important center, goal and driving force for national development”. The Party attaches special importance to comprehensive and synchronous development of cultural fields, creating favorable conditions so that cultural values ​​and human standards are not ceased to be supplemented and developed, which is really the spiritual foundation, endogenous resource and breakthrough driving force for economic and social development and international integration.

Regarding cultural values ​​in the fields of social life, in order to promote cultural values ​​and human strength in the fields of social life, the Document of the 13th Party Congress affirms: "Building and implementing cultural standards in leadership and management. Focusing on building a healthy, democratic, united, human and cultural environment at workplace; repelling bureaucracy, factionalism, disunity, opportunism and pragmatism. Building corporate culture”. Accordingly, it is necessary to attach importance to building and spreading cultural values ​​in both politics and economy, especially in Party and State agencies, mass organizations, businesses, and residential communities so that culture can really create a driving force to promote sustainable economic, political, cultural and social development. Besides, it is necessary to uphold the pioneering, exemplary character of cadres, civil servants and Party members in agencies and units in behavior, communication and settlement of relationships with cultural values ​​from words, how to communicate to actions in both awareness, morality, democratic lifestyle, respect to the people, responsible attitude and love to comrades; thereby promoting the building of a pure and strong Party organization and political system.

Raising awareness of the Party's ideological and theoretical foundation

Speaking at the conference, Truong Thi Bich Hanh, member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of provincial Party Committee’s Department of Propaganda and Education said that on February 25, 2022, provincial Party Standing Committee issued the Plan No. 48-KH/TU to disseminate the Party’s ideological and theoretical foundations; the construction and rectification of the Party and the political system in the spirit of the 4th Plenum of the 13^th Party Central Committee for key cadres at all levels in the entire provincial Party Committee on a regular and annual basis. The plan aims at helping cadres and Party members to be deeply aware of the Party's ideological and theoretical foundations, the importance of the Party building and rectification in the new situation. The conference was conducted in the spirit of the contents, purposes and requirements of the Plan No. 48-KH/TU of provincial Party Standing Committee.

Therefore, after this conference, all-level Party committees, leaders and managers at all levels continue deeply studying thematic contents; thereby relating to the actual implementation of political tasks of each locality, agency, and unit and the responsibilities and duties of each managerial cadre, especially in performing the task of developing culture and people in the province under the spirit of the 13^th Party Congress. Particularly, each level of the Party committee needs to further promote the advantages and results achieved while overcoming shortcomings in promoting socio-economic development, building a cultural lifestyle, a rich, healthy, safe and progressive cultural environment for the highest goal being to constantly improve the material and spiritual lives of the people.
