Synchronous investment in traffic infrastructure

Update: 15-12-2016 | 13:15:41

After 10 years of reestablishment, Binh Duong became one of the country’s top localities in investment attraction and socio-economic development. Well-built traffic infrastructure significantly contributed to the success of the province.

Well mobilizing resources for investment

From a poor locality, Binh Duong rose up and developed very vigorously after 10 years of reestablishment. Highway 13 was considered as a lever for the province to reach robust industrial and urban development.

This is a junction between DT743 street at Song Than 1 Industrial Park and Song Than overpass on Highway 1A in HCM city

Along with Highway 13, streets like DT741…connecting with the belt street 3 created a new corridor associating Binh Duong with HCM city to international ports, logistics centers and vice-versa. Meanwhile, Ong Co bridge, DT746 and DT744 streets were connected with the center of Binh Duong new city, going  through historical relic sites, tourism sites, industrial parks, centers of Dau Tieng, Phu Giao, Tan Uyen…

Thanks to creatively applying the State and Party’s guidelines and policies plus upholding internal and external forces in traffic infrastructure investment, Binh Duong reached more stable and safer socio-economic development.

Synchrony

The plan on building provincial industrial-service-urban complex was approved by the Ministry of Construction at the Decision No.522/QD-BXD dated March 27, 2006. Based on the plan, the province put focus on building up a civilized, modern and environmentally friendly city, in which traffic infrastructure played a very important role in fostering old urban areas and the new ones towards modernity.

Main streets 1 and 6 connecting the complex with DT743 street and Highway 13 are the southern gate of the complex. Construction of Pham Ngoc Thanh street to provincial Integrated Administration Center and Tan Van-My Phuoc expressway also contributed to forming up an uninterrupted traffic system of the region, connecting Binh Duong with HCM city and Dong Nai.

Whilst, main street 2B connecting the complex’s eastern region with DT746 street is the gate of trade exchange to Thanh Phuoc port, Dong Nai river, Thi Vai deepwater port…Main street N14 connecting with DT741 street is the gate of the complex’s northern region, holding a role of trade exchange with Binh Phuoc and central Highlands region. Upgrading DT742 street plus forming up Di An-Loc Ninh railway…will generate a diverse, uninterrupted and modern traffic network with convergence and pervasion on the traffic network of the region and the southern key economic zone. When being formed up, the belt street 4 in HCM city will be the West-East axis of the complex as well as Binh Duong connecting urban areas in the locality, Dong Nai and HCM city.

According to leaders of provincial Department of Transport, Binh Duong’s traffic network during the period of 2005-2010 not only upheld its important role in economic development, but also promoted satellite urban areas towards the center of Binh Duong new city. The province’s policy on strong investment in traffic infrastructure contributed to narrowing the gap between urban and rural areas, basically changing the quality of locals’ life.
