Many large-scale specialized exhibitions held in Binh Duong have affirmed the province’s important role and position in this service field. Exhibitions and fairs are also a bridge to help businesses in Binh Duong and the whole country gradually participate more deeply in the global production and supply chain.

Attract many specialized exhibitions

Phan Thi Khanh Duyen, Deputy Director of Provincial Department of Industry and Trade, shared that in 2023 there will be 9 major exhibitions held at Binh Duong New City International Exhibition Center (WTC EXPO) with more than 100 participating booths. An optimistic sign is that there have been 15 major exhibitions and fairs confirmed to take place in Binh Duong in 2024. The Department of Industry and Trade will continue to implement practical support programs for businesses participating.

As realizing a balanced development orientation, Binh Duong is considered a "hot spot" of the southern economy with synchronously invested service infrastructure, with more than 29 industrial parks work effectively. Among them, WTC EXPO with a total area of up to 22,000 square meters has been a destination for the exhibition industry in the southern key economic region.

Nguyen Van Danh, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, claimed: “Currently, Binh Duong is attracting investment, effectively operating key trade - service infrastructure, gradually standardizing the province's trade - service platform. Binh Duong New City World Trade Center was formed, especially the completion of WTC EXPO and the strategy to attract domestic and foreign partners opening events, conferences, fairs and exhibitions, combined with tourism, promotion of the MICE market in the home province. Binh Duong always wants to welcome businesses to invest and connect for many years to come."

According to Huynh Dinh Thai Linh, Executive Director, WTC EXPO is equipped with modern facilities, suitable for all exhibition activities, fairs, conferences, seminars, and cultural exchange and entertainment programs at a regional level. WTC EXPO, with the strength of its location between the "industrial capital" of Binh Duong and the southern key economic region, will make every effort to develop new industries and professional service groups to develop a strong business community, heightening the position of Binh Duong. “From the beginning of 2022, WTC EXPO has gradually elevated its brand and become a reputable organization that successfully organizes and co-organizes many online and in-person programs, events, seminars, and conferences, strongly attracts customers and domestic and foreign partners", said Linh.

The textile and garment industry exhibition recently held in Binh Duong attracts the participation of many domestic and foreign businesses.

Connect trade, stimulate development

Nguyen Thai Hung, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Textile and Apparel Association, said that Vietnam has more than 7,000 textile and garment companies, of which FDI ones only account for 33%, but the total revenue reaches 60%. Currently, European countries are aiming for green production, while Binh Duong is a potential market with a high number of FDI enterprises. In addition, when businesses invest methodically in modern machinery and equipment, it will replace labor fluctuations, creating stable prices. Specialized fairs and exhibitions held in Binh Duong are a trend because there are many businesses gathered here, as well as systematic and synchronous service infrastructure planning.

Nguyen Thanh Dao, representative of the organizer of the EMA Vietnam 2023 exhibition in Binh Duong, said that this exhibition with a scale of nearly 250 booths of more than 200 domestic and international enterprises has created a great buzz, especially is the electrical, electromechanical, and automation industry. This is an effective promotional trade channel for participating businesses, helping businesses seize opportunities in the market during the recovery period after the pandemic.

Associate Professor, Dr. Le Hoai Quoc, Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City Automation Association, commented that Binh Duong is a vibrant trading environment, suitable for business cooperation, developing production chain networks, and providing sustainable services and consumption. As for the mechanical, electrical and automation industries, Binh Duong is the center of the Southeast industrial region. Especially in the 2020-2023 period, Binh Duong attracted FDI capital of $9.56 billion, exceeding the target for the entire 2020-2025 period.
