Early May 16, the Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, Fatherland Front Committee of Tan Long commune in Phu Giao district held a ceremony to receive the certificate of recognition as the advanced new-style rural one in 2020.
In 2014, Tan Long commune was recognized as the new-style rural one by provincial People's Committee and also was the first commune of Phu Giao district to meet standards of new-style rural construction. In 2018, the commune implemented advanced new-style rural construction under the Decision No. 1925 of provincial People's Committee. Up to now, 100% of the district’s roads at all levels have been concreted. There are 100% of the local people in use of the national power grid and clean water. The district now has a 4-level school system: Kindergarten, primary, middle and high schools with 100% of schools meeting national standards. There are 100% of the local people with houses meeting the standards of the Ministry of Construction. By the end of 2020, the commune's per capita income was VND67.13 million per year. The number of the local poor households under the province's poverty line reduced to 7 households, accounting for 0.35% of total. The commune’s health station is invested to meet national standards, ensuring to well serve people’s demand for medical examination and treatment.
In the period 2015-2020, the commune’s total capital for new-style rural construction was more than VND1.21trillion, including VND79.95 billion from provincial State budget, VND54.82 billion from the district’s State budget, VND35.83 billion from local State budget, VND575.8 billion from people, VND 85 billion from enterprises, VND310 billion from credit capital, and VND70 billion from integrated capital.
At the ceremony, Ho Truc Thanh, Deputy Director of provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, member of provincial New-style Rural Construction Steering Standing Committee awarded a decision of recognizing Tan Long commune as the advanced new-style rural one to the locality. On this occasion, the district’s People's Committee presented the certificates of merit to 5 collectives and 12 individuals. The commune’s People's Committee also awarded the certificates of merit to 10 collectives and 26 individuals who made great contributions to the local advanced new-style rural construction.
