Tan Uyen city cares for environment protection in tourism development

Currently in the area of Tan Uyen city, 93 accommodation establishments and 93 business accommodation establishments including 16 hotels with 1,475 rooms serving residents and tourists; 1 large-scale restaurant and many small restaurants, catering to tourist groups of less than 100 people; 1 commercial center, and 12 traditional markets.

In order to protect the environment in tourism development, concerning the management of these facilities, the city will focus on managing and inspecting the operation of wastewater treatment and waste management in hotels, tourist sites, and tourist areas; encouraging businesses to use environmentally friendly products and materials; mobilizing the participation and contribution of the local community, businesses, tourists, state management agencies, and social organizations in protecting the natural and social environment.

Representatives of the Department of Culture and Information of Tan Uyen city said that the implementation of the tourism development project in the city by 2025, aiming towards 2030 with many environmental protection solutions, when applied in reality, will bring practical benefits to the city's economy and society when developing tourism, harmoniously combining economic benefits with environmental protection, creating an impression on tourists of a green, clean, beautiful, and environmentally friendly city, promoting sustainable development.
