Tan Uyen city concentrates on infrastructure construction to type-2 urbanity

On the morning of July 5th, the Tan Uyen Party Committee organized the 18th Executive Committee Meeting of the city's Party Committee of 12th term (2020-2025). In the first 6 months of 2024, the Standing Committee and the Standing Board of the Tan Uyen Party Committee focused on leading and directing the implementation of economic and social development tasks, ensuring national defense and security, building the Party, and strengthening the political system.

Prominent results are reflected by the value of industrial production and construction of the city reaching VND 15,090 billion - an increase of 12.68% compared to the same period in 2023. Social welfare is ensured; political security, social order and safety are maintained and stable.

At the conference, the Organizing Committee of the Party Committee approved decisions on personnel work. Accordingly, the Standing Committee of the provincial People's Council approved the election results for the position of Deputy Chairman of the People's Council of Tan Uyen City for the term of 2021-2026 for Mrs. Tran Thi Cam Tu from June 18, 2024; the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee approved the election results for the additional position of Deputy Chairman of the People's Committee of Tan Uyen City for the term of 2021-2026 for Mr. Ly Ngoc Phong, effective from June 26, 2024.

In his concluding statement at the conference, Mr. Bui Minh Tri, Secretary of the Tan Uyen Party Committee, proposed that in the last 6 months of the year, all levels and sectors continue to focus on investing in economic and social infrastructure to transform Tan Uyen into a type II urban area according to the Resolution of the Party Congress of the city for the term 2020-2025; continue to effectively implement the Project "People's Participation in Building a Cultural and Civilized Lifestyle" in the period 2021-2025, in conjunction with maintaining of the "Civilized Saturday" model.
