Tan Uyen promptly solves enterprises’ difficulties

Tan Uyen town’s People's Committee has drastically directed sectors to plan to coordinate with the local enterprises to completely solve the situation of black credit among workers, local flooding, and promote the movement of good skills competitions, fire prevention and fighting... in order to stabilize production and business, ensuring the local socio-economic development.

According to Hoang Yen, Director of Rochdale Spear Company’s Personel Department, over the past time, especially during the Covid-19 pandemic, the company was very grateful to Thanh Phuoc commune and the People's Committee of Tan Uyen Town for their support. From that support, the company has made efforts to maintain production, take care of workers' lives, contributing to the local development. However, according to Mrs. Yen, a very worrying problem today is black credit among workers. “One day I received up to 200 debt collection messages with the names of workers in the company. Foreign managers also got such messages, causing difficulties in handling production and business. We look forward to the local support to solve the problem and clean up the production environment."

Also according to her, the number of workers in the town is very large. Therefore, along with social housing projects, the town needs a policy to build sports centers and community activities to improve employees ‘spiritual life, limiting the state of unhealthy entertainment such as gambling and games.

Cyndi Chen, Director of Dai Hoa Co., Ltd.’s Personel Department said that going through a difficult period, due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the company had to reduce production scale, decrease the number of laborers and faced many difficulties in transportation of materials and goods. However, up to now, the company has recovered production with the annual capacity of 10 million pairs of shoes. In the coming time, the company is still steadfast, joining hands with Tan Uyen town in development. “The current obstacle of the company is that the local drainage system is facing problems. Every time it rains, the company’s production area is flooded, affecting the operation as well as the movement of workers. The company wants the People's Committee of Tan Uyen town to handle the drainage system in this area. In addition, the company also wants the town’s People's Committee to organize training courses on professional skills, fire prevention and fighting contests, and good skills competitions for enterprises to improve in all aspects, meet sustainable production and business ".

Locality getting involved

Doan Hong Tuoi, Chairman of Tan Uyen town’s People's Committee affirmed that in order to remove obstacles by enterprises, the town has always created all favorable conditions for enterprises to develop; opportunely and fully implemented support policies for employees and employers; maintained political security, social order and safety, well serving the local production and business activities.

Regarding the problem of black credit harassment by the use of technology, the town's People's Committee has directed the local police agency to have a plan to handle this problem and report it to the town's People's Committee on the basis of actively coordinating with enterprises. The problem of dealing with local flooding at Dai Hoa Company and a number of enterprises in Uyen Hung ward, the town's People's Committee has surveyed and had a plan to direct relevant sectors to handle it completely. These enterprises need to have close coordination, facilitating the construction of the works. The sectors need to set up plans to organize activities on fire prevention and fighting exercises, regular vocational training programs, etc.

During the period from now until the end of the year and the Lunar New Year of 2023, Mr. Tuoi suggested town-based enterprises to further focus on taking care of their workers, minimizing the situation of labor strikes; well perform Covid-19 prevention and control, especially mobilize workers to get vaccinated against the pandemic under instructions. He also wants enterprises and associations to have links, create consumption markets for products, continue accompanying the town in socialization of roads, lighting systems, humanitarian activities…, joining hands with local authorities to complete targets on socio-economic development in 2022, contributing to building the town into a second-class city ahead of 2025.

Tan Uyen town has so far lured 1,812 enterprises, with total registered capital of over VND 32.5trillion. Over the past nine months, the town’s value of industrial production and construction was estimated at increasing by 16.46% over the same period last year. The town’s value of trade - services was estimated at rising by 36.96% over the same period last year. The town’s agricultural production value increased by 2.79% over the same period last year.
