In order to ensure medical work for the announcement ceremony of the National Assembly Standing Committee’s Resolution on establishing Tan Uyen city, which will take place on the morning of April 12, Tan Uyen’s health sector has set out a plan to take care of and promptly handle medical problems that may occur during the ceremony, ensuring a thoughtful and successful ceremony.

Setting up 3 teams to serve the ceremony

We have returned to Tan Uyen in the early days of April and noticed that streets here are more spacious and colorful with flags and flowers. The people of Tan Uyen are eagerly looking forward to the day when the locality officially becomes a city. The announcement ceremony of the National Assembly Standing Committee’s Resolution on the establishment of Tan Uyen city will take place on the morning of April 12 at Tan Uyen square and is expected to be attended by nearly 800 delegates, including leaders of the Government, Binh Duong province, districts, towns and cities in the province and some neighboring localities. Up to now, all preparations for the announcement ceremony have been completed.

Nguyen Thi Kim Nguyen, Vice-Chairwoman of Tan Uyen city’s People's Committee said that the announcement ceremony of the National Assembly Standing Committee’s Resolution on establishing Tan Uyen city is a great event and a source of pride of each person in Tan Uyen. To ensure the health and safety of delegates and guests, Tan Uyen city has decided to establish 3 teams to serve, including health team, food safety team and team on pandemic prevention and control, spraying disinfectant...

“Especially, the teams will have coordination for serving the ceremony; arrange staff and ambulances at the ceremony, arrange forces and vehicles to support first aid, handle emergency situations when there is an urgent phone requesting reinforcements from healthcare workers. Head of the healthcare team is responsible for assigning members to prepare medicine, medical equipment, masks, antiseptic water and ambulances to well perform pandemic prevention-control, giving care to delegates attending the ceremony. The city has arranged a healthcare room and an ambulance parking space, arranged from 3-5 seats, being ready for on-site first aid work," said Mrs. Nguyen.

She added that the food safety and hygiene team is responsible for monitoring the risk of food contamination, rapid testing, storing food samples and monitoring the cooking process. If the cooking establishment fails to comply with regulations on food safety and there is a positive rapid test, the team will immediately report it to leaders of the city for timely settlement. Meanwhile, the team on pandemic prevention- control, from the afternoon of April 11 before the ceremony, sprayed disinfectant in the area organizing the ceremony…

Cleaning up the environment

Along with health assurance activities, Tan Uyen city has mobilized forces from departments, mass organizations and localities to coordinate in urban rejuvenation and environmental sanitation. Accordingly, right from the early morning of April 9, on key traffic roads such as DT746 and DT747, hundreds of officials, Youth Union members and members of mass organizations simultaneously cleaned up the environment, ensuring clear roads for traffic participants.

With the unanimity of the Party committees, authorities, departments and mass organizations and the enthusiastic response of the people, streets in quarters across the city have quickly become clear, clean and beautiful. Nguyen Thi Tam, a resident of quarter 2 in Uyen Hung ward said: “We are very excited when Tan Uyen town is upgraded to Tan Uyen city. This is the great pride of the people of Tan Uyen, so our family and neighbors in the quarter participate in cleaning up streets to make them greener, cleaner and more beautiful."

Previously, Tan Uyen city simultaneously launched a campaign to kill larvae, mosquitoes and make the 2^nd communication round on dengue fever prevention and control of 2023. Accordingly, each commune and ward chooses a quarter where new cases have arisen or hamlets with many cases, to organize to kill larvae, eliminate mosquito shelters and thoroughly handle fever dengue outbreaks. For example, at the fever dengue outbreak in the area of Truong Thi Hong Hue's household in quarter 7’s group 4 in Uyen Hung ward, medical staff coordinated with collaborators to visit and guide the household how to implement some measures against larvae such as removing containers of stagnant water, waste items in and around the house…while distributing leaflets on fever dengue prevention and control...

Possibly seeing that Tan Uyen city has carefully prepared all aspects for the ceremony to announce the establishment of the city to take place successfully. Particularly, healthcare, food safety and hygiene, pandemic prevention and control are also important contents that this locality focuses on implementing to ensure the safety of delegates attending this important event.

The Department of Emergency Resuscitation under Tan Uyen city’s Medical Center has also prepared all means and resources, arranged from 1 to 2 rooms with hospital beds to serve emergency work, medical care, being ready to provide aid if there are cases on pandemic, food poisoning, fire and explosion, accidents..., to ensure the safety of delegates attending the ceremony.
