Tan Uyen, TDM respond to Olympic Run Day for Public Health 2016

Tan Uyen town, on Mar.27, held a ceremony to launch the Olympic Run Day for Public Health 2016.

At the ceremony, delegates were heard the significance of the Olympic Run Day, the effects of taking physical exercises. The event aimed to promote the national campaign “All people take physical exercise following Uncle Ho’s example”, and encourage people to take physical exercise regularly keep fit and to improve their health and strengthen the whole people’s great unity bloc.

Leaders of the town together with 500 officials, civil servants and pupils also joined a 1km run right after the ceremony. On this occasion, the town’s Division of Culture and Information organized a sports festival in celebration of the 70^th anniversary of Vietnamese Sports Day.

*The same day, TDM city also launched the Olympic Run Day for Public Health 2016 with the participation of 1,300 officials, soldiers, pupils and locals. This significant activity aimed to improve locals’ health and their quality of life.

On this occasion, the center also organized the city’s traditional cross-country run 2016, with the participation of 250 people. They competed in the women’s and men’s 2,000m, 3,000m and 4,000m events…
