TDM announced as "green zone", returning to new normal state

Early September 10, Thu Dau Mot (TDM) city held a ceremony to announce it as the "green zone" on the Covid-19 map, bringing it  back to a new normal state.

Nguyen Van Loi, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of provincial Party Committee, Head of provincial National Assembly Deputy Delegation, Head of provincial Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control hands over a decision on announcement of Thu Dau Mot city as the "green zone" on the Covid-19 map of the province to representative of the city’s leaders

The event was attended by Nguyen Van Loi, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of provincial Party Committee, Head of provincial National Assembly Deputy Delegation, Head of provincial Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control; Nguyen Hoang Thao, Pernament Vice-Secretary of provincial Party Committee; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Lan Hieu, Medical Director of Binh Duong Field Hospital; Duong Chi Nam, Deputy Director of the Environmental Management Department under the Ministry of Health; leaders of departments, sectors, local authorities and representatives of people in the city.

Thu Dau Mot city now has all 14 wards. Among them, there are 11 "green zone" wards and 3 "yellow zone" wards that are being well controlled and gradually "greening". Therefore, the city will ease the movement of people. If having the certificate of getting full two shots of Covid-19 vaccine or the first shot for 14 days, people will be allowed to travel within the city. Some essential services can reopen, but only offer takeout. The city will also continue implementing social distancing under the Prime Minister’s Directive No.16  until the end of September 15, aiming to protect the local achievements in Covid-19 prevention and control.

Speaking at the event, Mr. Thao praised the efforts by the city’s authorities, people from all strata, medical staff, frontline anti-Covid-19 forces, especially support forces from other localities in the local fight against the pandemic. The city’s authorities at all levels will continue implementing measures to maintain the "green zone" wards and gradually green the remaining "yellow zone" wards. The province will also further propanganda and call for people, especially the elderly, those with underlying diseases, children to stay at home, only go out if really necessary and continue strictly following the "5K" message of the Ministry of Health...
