Many targets fulfilled

After nearly 3 years of implementing the resolution, although there were still many difficulties directly affecting the local socio-economic situation, production and business of enterprises and people's lives, with the spirit of solidarity, effort and creativity, the Executive Board of TDM city’s Party Committee focused on leading to overcome difficulties, proposed many solutions to achieve important results.

Over the past years, the city continued mobilizing all resources to implement the Resolution No. 17-NQ/TU of provincial Party Standing Committee on further building and developing TDM city in the 2016-2020 period and the following years. Many important urban technical and social infrastructure projects have been implemented by the city. The city has also focused on relocating and clearing cemetery areas and using public land fund to invest in the construction of parks and gardens, contributing to expanding urban space and creating amusement parks for the local people. Many new residential, social housing and urban areas have been formed across the city. The projects built in existing urban areas together with projects in Binh Duong Industrial - Service - Urban Complex…have created a synchronous connection between the existing and new urban areas, between the city with localities in and out of the province.

Synchronous development in fields

Speaking at the conference, Mr. Loi acknowledged, praised and spoke highly of the results done by TDM city after 3 years of implementing the Resolution of the 12^th city’s Party Congress for the 2020-2025 tenure. This result has contributed to making a clear change in the city’s socio-economic picture, greatly changing the face of the city, creating a favorable premise for the next development steps and positively contributing to the common development of the province.

TDM urban space is increasingly expanding with civilization and modernity

However, the remaining tasks of the congress tenure are still very heavy in the context of forecasting the situation with many difficulties and challenges. From that fact, provincial Party Committee Secretary suggested the Party, government and people of the city to further promote the spirit of solidarity, determination, joint effort, consensus to well implement the goals and tasks set out by the resolution for the 2020-2025 tenure.

He also noted a number of issues that the city’s Party Committee should pay attention to implementing them in the coming time, with focus on well realizing the adjustment of the general planning and planning management. With the nature of being the center of politics, economy, culture, society, science and technology, the nuclear city of the province and the center connecting with other regions, the adjustment of the city’s overall planning is very important. In the immediate future, the city should focus on local adjustment of construction height in the area at current requirements; implement solutions in a synchronous way to renovate and embellish old urban areas while building and developing the new ones associated with the province’s smart city construction process.

Mr. Loi emphasized that along with focusing on economic development, the city needs to take care of the comprehensive development of socio-cultural fields; focus on improving the quality of education, upgrading material facilities of the healthcare sector and improving the quality of medical examination and treatment; maximize resources, making socialization for investment in the fields of education and healthcare at people's requirements; pay attention to improving the quality of the movement on building a civilized urban and cultural lifestyle.

With the results achieved over the past time, orientations, goals and tasks set out in the next period, it is believed that Thu Dau Mot city’s Party Committee will further promote the spirit of solidarity, dynamism and creation, leading the local political system, business community and people from all strata to fulfill the targets and tasks of the Resolution of the 12th city Party Congress for the 2020- 2025 tenure, thereby creating a premise for the city to develop faster, more comprehensively, more sustainably towards a civilized, modern and sentimental city, which is a worth-living city of Binh Duong in particular and the country in general.

After the half-term implementation of the Resolution of the 12th city’s Party Congress, most targets were implemented to ensure progress compared to the resolution. Among them, 25 out of 41 targets have been achieved, 16 out of 41 targets are close to meeting the resolution. Some sectors maintained impressive growth. Particularly, the value of the service sector increased by 27.62% (0.12% higher compared to the resolution); the total retail sales revenue of goods increased by 27.72% (0.04% higher than the resolution); the average annual industrial production value increased by 27.27% (0.07% higher than the resolution)...
