Early August 1, Thu Dau Mot city’s Council for National Defense and Security Education organized a training class to disseminate national defense and security knowledge to the local Buddhist dignitaries, monks and nuns.
During the training class, the local Buddhist dignitaries, monks and nuns were provided with fundamental and key topics related to special subjects, including the Vietnamese people's war of defending the homeland; strategies to prevent peaceful evolution, riots and subversion by hostile forces against the Vietnamese revolution; issues on integrating socio-economic development with enhancing national defense and security; managing and protecting Vietnam's sovereignty over its seas, islands and national borders in the new era; organizing and building the operations of militia and reserve forces to meet the requirements of tasks in the new situation; basic issues ensuring political, ideological, cultural, economic and social security in the new situation.
The training class aimed at providing Buddhist dignitaries, monks and nuns with knowledge on national defense-security and current affairs, enhancing their awareness and responsibility in protecting the homeland, living under the motto of “good life, good religion” and always accompanying the nation. This effort contributes to raising vigilance and the spirit of resistance against false and hostile arguments that aim at dividing the national unity bloc, consolidating trust in the Party and State's policies and guidelines in building up a people's national defense, a solid people's security posture, to meet the requirements and tasks of building and defending the Fatherland in the new situation.
