TDM city: Each resident plants at least one tree

The People's Committee of Thu Dau Mot (TDM) city has just issued a plan to plant and tend trees in 2024 in association with implementing the local urban greenery project and launched the Tet tree-planting festival, themed “Forever grateful to Uncle Ho” on the occasion of the 134th birthday anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh (May 19, 1890 - May 19, 2024).

The purpose of the plan is to ensure the effective implementation of the goals and targets of the greenery project in the city, contributing to building up a "Green, ecological city" in the future. Accordingly, TDM city launched a campaign of “each person planting at least one tree”, in order to mobilize all people, departments, sectors, mass organizations, people's armed forces and students to participate in planting green trees, contributing to the local biodiversity conservation, ecological environment protection, natural disaster mitigation and adaptation to climate change.

In addition to activities planting trees regularly, on the occasion of the 134th birthday anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh, TDM city planted more than 2,340 trees, including more than 2,000 scattered and fruit trees and 300 bamboo trees.
