TDM city reaches 60% of year’s target in blood donation

On May 14, Thu Dau Mot city’s Mobilization Board for Voluntary Blood Donation, Red Cross Society in collaboration with Ho Chi Minh city-based Cho Ray Hospital’s Blood Transfusion Center organized a voluntary blood donation festival in response to the 2024  Humanitarian Month and summer "Red Blood Drops" campaign.

The festival attracted the participation of numerous volunteers. As a result, the organization board received 400 units of blood. This amount of blood will contribute to saving the lives of poor patients in need of blood for treatment.

It is known that since early this year, Thu Dau Mot city has mobilized and coordinated with relevant units to to receive 2,093 out of 3,450 units of donated blood, reaching 60.66% of the 2024 target.
