TDM city’s campaign “Day for the Poor” gets high results

For better results, TDM city’s Steering Board for the Campaign “Day for the Poor” has sped up dissemination of information about the campaign among people from all strata, aiming to uphold the tradition of “mutual affection, mutual love” and contribute to step by step implementing the socialization task of hunger eradication and poverty reduction.

The city’s Fund of “the Day for the Poor” over the past five years collected VND8.477bln, including VND4.391bln mobilized from the city’s wards. Upon this fund, the city built and upgraded 235 great unity houses worth VND4.93bln; provided free medical examination and treatment for policy beneficiary families and poor ones, awarded scholarships to poor-but-excellent pupils with a total value of more than VND383mln.
