TDM city’s Party Committee: For a “civilized, prosperous and modern” city

With a determination of building up a “civilized, prosperous and modern” city, TDM city’s Party Committee is sharing efforts in upholding advantages, surmounting difficulties to reach criteria of a first-class city and to be a political, administrative, economic and cultural hub of Binh Duong province.

Regarding achievements done over the past time, Nguyen Van Dong, Vice-Secretary of TDM city’s Party Committee cum Chairman of the city’s People’s Committee said that the common goal of the Resolution of the city’s Party Committee for the 2010-2015 tenure was to mobilize all sources for the local urban development, striving to fulfill criteria of a first-class city.

The image of TDM city has got more and more civilized and modern.

So far, the city has made great changes in the process of the local urban development, contributing to improving locals’ material and spiritual lives. The city has basically completed criteria of a first-class city. Many industrial-service and urban projects have been invested and they are seen as a great potential for the local urban development towards civilization and modernity. Noticeably, the city has formed up a synchronous technical and traffic infrastructure system.

Upholding the above achievements, TDM city in the 2015-2020 period will further focus on urban development, contributing to turning Binh Duong into a civilized, prosperous and beautiful city under the central control. Particularly, the common goals of the city during the period are to further pursue an economic structure with service-industry and agriculture; foster the city based on improvement of the quality of economic growth with a synchronous infrastructure system towards fast and sustainable development; constantly improve locals’ spiritual and material lives; ensure national defence-security; build up a pure and strong political system…

The city has also mapped out measures to reach the above goals. Particularly, in terms of services, the city will give priority to developing hi-quality services; create advantageous conditions regarding land and infrastructure in order to absorb economic sectors into services like finance-banking, post-telecommunications, housing, retail…

For industrial manufacture, the city will team up with provincial agencies to call for investment in its industrial parks, give priority to hi-tech and environmentally friendly projects; support small and medium-sized enterprises to innovate their technologies; promote urban and hi-tech agricultural models.

The city will also mobilize many capital sources for the local social-technical infrastructure development. Accordingly, the city will concentrate on building up a synchronous infrastructure system; enhance the ratio of people using clean water, restrict the exploitation of groundwater; upgrade a water discharge system from canals, streams into Saigon river to guarantee water discharge and prevent flooding in areas along the river.

Under the sound leadership of the local Party and government plus consensus among people from all strata, it is believed that TDM will be recognized as a first-class city on schedule, deserving to be a political, administrative, economic and cultural center of the province.

TDM city’s Party Committee now has 38 Party’s grassroots organizations with more than 260 party cells under Party committees at the grassroots level and over 65,000 Party members.
