TDM city’s youth sharing hands to build up urban civilization

TDM city is on the momentum of strong development in all aspects, so the local Party, government and people have attached special importance to building up urban civilization. Realizing that youth play an important role in this task, the city’s Youth Union has implemented many specific programs, contributing to building up a civilized and modern TDM city.

Substantial activities

In a bid to protect the environment, TDM city’s Youth Union in collaboration with provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism and Vietnam One-Member Travel and Transport Service Co.Ltd. has just organized a program named “Binh Duong’s tourism is responsible for environment”. Hundreds of the local youth attended a ceremony to launch the program and actively took part in tidying up streets around TDM market in an animated atmosphere.

Along with activities in environmental protection, many Youth Union members together with the local traffic police force have kept traffic safety on main streets in the city. They have also got involved in maintaining the local social order and security…

Propaganda promoted

To Nguyen Tan Dat, Secretary of TDM city’s Youth Union said: “The city’s Youth Union will further promote a plan on “Implementing urban civilization, ensuring urban order, hygiene and traffic safety”. Accordingly, the city’s Youth Unions at all levels will team up with relevant agencies to speed up dissemination of information about the legal documents regarding urban civilization, including regulations about wearing helmets when driving; ensuring traffic safety at crossroads; promulgating criteria on urban civilization, traffic culture…”.

For activities bringing into reality, the city’s Youth Union has taken many proper measures such as educating pupils about traffic safety at schools; speeding up propaganda activities via mass media; coordinating with the local police force to take part in keeping traffic safety; mobilizing the local people not to disorderly drop litter, not to use bad language in public places…
